A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster on Sunday afternoon. South Yorkshire Police received a call at 13:35 BST reporting that a man had entered the tiger's enclosure. The tiger attacked him and he died at the scene. Police confirmed the tiger was uninjured and remained in the enclosure. No wider public risk existed.

The park evacuated immediately and activated emergency response procedures. Police remained at the scene. A park spokesperson expressed condolences to the man's family and said the attraction would remain closed on Monday. Police are aware that videos of the incident circulate online and asked the public not to share the footage.

Yorkshire Wildlife Park opened in April 2009. Its tiger enclosure, called Land of the Tigers, opened in 2011 and features an area where tigers roam woodlands and grasslands or swim in a waterfall pool. The park also houses lions, leopards, cheetahs, polar bears, brown bears and sea lions.
